While page breaks occur dynamically on large reports, there are times when a user desires to manually control where a page break occurs. Inserting a page break macro allows a user to split a report onto multiple pages in a controlled fashion, as opposed to having Qvinci automatically insert page breaks.
Usage and Restrictions
- A user may key in the following macro in order to insert a controlled break on a Report Template: %%break%%
- The page break macro is only available in Report Templates and cannot be utilized in Documents
- As with all macros, the page break macro is case sensitive
In the below example the user desires to break the Balance Sheet report after the Total Assets line. This means that all the Liabilities & Equity sections will not populate until the page after the Total Assets line.
