There are times when an Excel Syncing location's financial data can appear incorrect, or possibly doubled. This is related to an error when syncing data into Qvinci. The most probable causes for this issue can be found below.
Missing Header Account
For every "Total" line that appears in the Excel sync template, there must be a corresponding header account.
For example, in the screenshot below, the total line "Total Food Sales" must correspond to the header account "Food Sales". If the header account "Food Sales" is missing from the Excel sync template there is potential for financial data to be displayed incorrectly in Qvinci. The user needs to confirm that each total line corresponds to a matching header account prior to syncing data through the Excel Sync method.
Same Name Parent-Child Accounts
Sub-accounts cannot have the exact same name as the parent/header account. If a sub-account exists under the identially named header account, the financial data in Qvinci will appear incorrect, or possibly doubled. All sub-accounts should be identified with account names that are not identical to the parent or header account they fall under.
