The Qvinci Sync Application may display the below error message for some users that are on a Windows XP operating system.
Typically this error message is due to Internet Explorer being out of date on the PC/server. It may also go hand in hand with a user trying to sync from a Windows XP machine. Windows XP does not allow a user to update IE past version 8. However, security certificates on IE 8 are not PCI compliant. Thus, in order to update IE 8 to a newer version the user would need to migrate to a newer operating system. The error in question reads:
- If a user is not running Windows XP operating system then ensure that Internet Explorer is more updated than version 8.
- If a user is running Windows XP it is suggested that they migrate to a newer operating system. This would require the user to uninstall/reinstall the QuickBooks application and the Qvinci Sync App onto the new computer.
- If migrating to a newer operating system is not available, and the user is running Excel 2007 or newer, the user could sync data via the Excel sync method in Qvinci.
