At times a Qvinci user may experience the following error after linking and syncing their QuickBooks Desktop file:
This error indicates that the connection between the Qvinci Sync App and the QuickBooks file was disrupted. This can be caused because another 3rd party application is actively syncing data to/from the same QuickBooks file, or because the file is extremely large in size and is timing out. Some known fixes for this issue can be to:
- Place the file in single-user mode when syncing
- Migrate in the QuickBooks file to the Edit > Preferences > Integrated Applications > Company Preferences tab. Uncheck the other 3rd party applications that appear in the list. Save the selection. (Do not "remove" the applications, but rather just temporarily disable them by unchecking)
- Consider "Archiving" or "condensing" historical data in the QuickBooks file by running the Files > Utilities > Condense Data feature. It is highly suggested that the user make a backup copy of the file first, if not also consult with their accounting professional.
