Qvinci uses a protocol called ODBC to connect to the AccountRight accounting system.
When AccountRight is installed, it also installs the driver necessary to connect to an AccountRight company file. This driver is called ODBC Direct.
If the Qvinci Sync App fails to connect to an AccountRight file, it will display an error message; these error messages contain a short description of the problem for the user's benefit.
The following are some of the most common errors and expanded information on what they mean and how to handle them:
20050 Login details are incorrect
Solution(s): Make sure that you have entered the proper user name and password for the AccountRight company file.
20086 This company file has not been registered for ODBC access
Solution(s): You need to activate your company file. In AccountRight Premier go to Help>Activate Company File. Follow the instructions. (Note: You will need a valid copy of AccountRight Premiere or Enterprise or you will need to contact MYOB.)
20096 Invalid ODBC driver version
Solution(s): Make sure that your AccountRight software is the latest version.
20102 The company file selected is not compatible with this version of the ODBC Driver
Solution(s): Make sure that both your AccountRight software and company file are the same version. If they aren't, you may need to either upgrade to a more recent version of AccountRight or update your company file.
