The Qvinci Custom Report Builder allows for a report's rows and columns to be hidden. This enables the ability to reference values for use in a formula, while still hiding the values for a cleaner, more compact report.
Hiding Multiple Rows/Columns
- Select the Rows or Columns button pictured above. Only one of these options can be selected at once.
- Click the mass edit button (optional). This will select all rows or columns, depending on the option you selected for step 1.
- Edit your column or row selections to include only the ones you want to hide.
- Click the hide button at the top of the page.
That's it. Your selections will now be hidden. You may click the arrow (#5) to view the hidden column. The arrow will face in the direction of hidden rows or columns. You may toggle hide off for the rows or columns by first revealing them using the arrow, and then following the same process listed above. In this case, the hide button (#4) will have the opposite effect and toggle hide off for the selected rows or columns.
Hiding a Single Row/Column
Simply right click on an individual row or column, and you will be given the option to hide the selection or unhide it if it was previously hidden.
After you have finished hiding rows and columns and have made any other adjustments to the report, clicking Done at the top right of the page will save the report. In the Reporting page, you will find your saved report on the right of the page. Opening your report will display it in Qvinci's standard reporting layout with the rows and columns hidden, and, if necessary, the report can be modified further without losing access to the hidden items.
