Account – Consists of the Company or collection of Companies that the Owner has created. The subscription SKU (i.e., Multi or Enterprise) is managed at this level, and all Locations are allotted to Companies and billed according to that Account's SKU.
Account Mapping – Allows the Owner to create a unified Chart of Accounts across their Company for easier, more digestible report viewing. Reports can then be viewing with the Account Mapping feature turned on, or can be viewed using the organic QuickBooks® Chart of Accounts. This eliminates the need to enforce a Standard Chart of Accounts within the actual QuickBooks® files.
Alerts – Are emailed to the Owner or Viewer according to set specifications, including targets to reach or thresholds not to exceed.
Business Manager –This person has partial administrative privileges on the Account. They are able to map incoming QuickBooks® accounts to the SCoA, invite and manage Users (at their level of view or lower), add and monitor Locations (at their level of view or lower), and run reports. The Manager may not monitor billing.
Company – The collection of your clients’ Locations, your clients’ Users, and the relationships that may exist between them. The Company facilitates managing your Reporting Locations, Users and the roles and permissions Users have to view reports and manage Locations.
Contributor – The User who maintains the QuickBooks® file that is sync'd. The Owner assigns Contributor privileges. A Contributor also has Viewer permissions to run reports. NOTE: There may only be one Contributor per Location.
Financial Snapshot – Simple view of critical financial information provided via email.
Link – QuickBooks® Company files must be linked to the central database for identification purposes. This is done within the Qvinci Sync Application tool which is downloaded to the Contributor’s computer or server (wherever QuickBooks® is installed).
Owner – The person responsible for creating the Account, creating the Company or Companies on the Account, managing billing for the Account, inviting Users, creating Locations, and monitoring roles and permissions.
QuickBooks® Reporting Location − A Reporting Location whose financial data is sync'd from a QuickBooks® desktop application.
Reporting Location – Represents the real world location that is reporting financial data. Financial data can either be entered manually, or through syncing from an accounting software suite.
Standard Chart of Accounts (SCoA) – A template for financial accounts which consolidates and organizes the many disparately-named accounts that can exist among Locations' financial files.
Syncing - Is the actual transmission of the QuickBooks® file to the central database. Initially, the entire QuickBooks® file (up to 3 years historical data) is sync’d. Thereafter, incremental data is all that is transferred. Syncing keeps Qvinci.web reports up-to-date.
Target – An amount to reach and exceed.
Threshold – An amount not to exceed.
User - There are multiple Users in Qvinci: Owners, Business Managers, Contributors and Viewers.
Viewer - A User who only has privileges to view reports for a QuickBooks® Company file. They are not responsible for syncing a QuickBooks® file. A Viewer may only view reports if the Owner or Business Manager invites them to the network and grants viewing privileges for a Location.
