What is Pinning?
Each Client/Company can have a unique set of Pinned or "favorite" reports and packages that are highlighted on the Pinned tab of the Libraries page. When an item is Pinned, it is bookmarked specifically for the Client/Company listed in the top left corner. You can pin an individual report or package to many Companies - simply switch which Company you're viewing and click the Pin icon from the Libraries page once more.
Franchise corporate offices will Pin the most important reports for their franchise owners to review, such as Benchmarking or Business Intelligence reports. Corporations with multiple brands can have different sets of reports that are customized by brand. Similarly, accountants will Pin reports and packages that each member of the firm can quickly export all at once after books are closed each month.
Who Can Pin Reports and Packages?
Admins, Leaders and Manager users can all Pin reports and packages. (Staff and Viewers can still share reports and packages with other individual users.)
Who Can See Pinned Items?
Pinned items can be seen by any users who have been granted access to the specific Client/Company to which the item was pinned.
NOTE: Pinning is done at the Company/Client level. Therefore, users that are granted permissions at the Account level may not necessarily see items pinned by other users, unless they are also granted explicit permissions to the specific company on the Manage > Company Permissions page. We are working to remedy this in a feature release.
How do I Pin and Unpin Templates?
From the Reports & Libraries > (New) Libraries page, you can Pin items from the Mine, Shared with me and Qvinci Gallery tabs. Simply click on the Pin icon to the right of the desired item.
Items can only be Unpinned from the Pinned tab. Simply click the Unpin icon to the far right of the item to remove it from the Pinned tab.
